And, Game of Thrones Season 8 showrunners want to give fans a finale that they will remember forever.David Benioff and Dan Weiss recently discussed the final season of Game of Thrones in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, where they highlighted what it was like filming Season 8’s intense episodes and why it’s important for them to craft a finale that will live up to the show’s legacy.5 more sleeps. #GoTS8 pic.twitter.com/LeiM16oNJO— Game of Thrones (@GameOfThrones) April 9, 2019“We want people to love it. It matters a lot to us. We’ve spent 11 years doing this. We also know no matter what we do, even if it’s the optimal version, that a certain number of people will hate the best of all possible versions,” Weiss told Entertainment Weekly. “There is no version where everybody says, “I have to admit, I agree with every other person on the planet that this is the perfect way to do this” — that’s an impossible reality that doesn’t exist.”There might be a lot of pressure to put on the best finale for the show, however, Benioff spoke about how excited he was for each actor’s performance in Season 8 episodes, and how he’s watched the show’s stars grow as characters and individuals along the way.“Part of what excites me is the performance of these actors. So many of them have been with us since the beginning and they’ve grown — both literally for the kids, and as characters. In many cases, they’re going so far beyond what was expected for them,” Benioff said. “To know them this well and to have their voices so clearly in your head when you write for them is a such a rare gift.”The Game of Thrones showrunners didn’t disclose many details on Season 8, so fans will have to wait until Sunday to watch the final season’s first episode, where Winterfell is expected to take on the Night King’s vast (and undead) army.More on Geek.com:New ‘Game of Thrones’ Teasers Show Powerful Ties and White Walker AftermathShake Shack Has a ‘Secret’ ‘Game of Thrones’ Menu for Valyrian Speakers The Most Ruling ‘Game of Thrones’ Toyslast_img read more
