In an attempt to keep up with Prime Minister’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abbhiyan’, the railway ministry are launching a mobile app called ‘Clean My Coach’, which will enable the passengers to message the cleaning staff to clean a particular coach while travelling.The service which will be available for long distance trains will allow the passengers to lodge complains via their smart phone or online and it will be attended within fifteen minutes.“Central Railway has developed a good mobile app ‘Clean My Coach’. All zonal railways should adopt and adapt it,” said a senior railway official.According to the official website, a passenger will be able to file a complaint by entering his/her PNR number. One could also send a request via SMS. The message will be forwarded to the cleaner at hand in the particular train directly. The Railway Administration at the same time will receive an intimidation of such request for follow up. So far the cleaning services are only available for a few selected trains.
