We will also be having an interlude of drumming and other cultural activities. We have identified six persons who will be giving an award as a demonstration of love for the work that they do and also a demonstration of promoting the important role that they play in the rural life,” she said.Meantime she says there needs to be some mitigating factors to prevent harmful impacts on Agricultural Soil within close proximity to riversides. “What we are saying is that we need to adopt some mitigating factors especially if we have lands close to river side. We need to plant where we know that the crops will be secured. Sometimes farmers plant on slopes with no support and we need to know as farmers where and what kind of crops should be planted where and that is so important. This will have a positive impact on the country’s own food security,” she explained.Dominica Vibes News Share Sharecenter_img LocalNews A special recognition ceremony among plans this year to commemorate World Women’s Rural Day by: – October 13, 2011 Share Sharing is caring!last_img
