The American, nicknamed Money, raked in astonishing levels of cash throughout his 21-year professional career. In his supposed final contest against Conor McGregor , Mayweather reportedly took home a mouthwatering $300 million [£230 million] for knocking out the UFC superstar inside 10 rounds of their record-breaking crossover bout. Almost two-and-a-half years on from that victory he is still spending his earnings, splashing out on an elegant white Rolls Royce Cullinan truck to celebrate Christmas. After first posting a picture of a black Bentley Continental he purchased for himself, Mayweather then showed he was not finished there. He then posted a video of the Rolls Royce with the caption: “Another gift to myself! Since I already have a black 2019 Rolls Royce Cullinan truck, it’s only right to gift myself with a white 2020 Rolls Royce Cullinan truck for Miami.” Mayweather is due to make a comeback in 2020, with UFC president Dana White recently confirming they have struck a deal that involves the former pound-for-pound chief returning to action. When asked about the rumours, White said: “It’s true. We sat at the Clippers game. We started talking and we literally got a deal done right there on the court. “And if things play out the way things Floyd and I think they will, I will probably sit down with Al Haymon in March and get a deal on paper. “If everything goes our way, Floyd and I would be doing something in October or November.” It is believed Mayweather will return in a similar crossover bout to the one that saw him topple McGregor in 2017. One potential opponent for the 42-year-old is another man who got the better of McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov. According to Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz, the Russian was set to box Mayweather in Saudi Arabia next month. In the end, though, White decided to axe the bout. Abdelaziz posted a picture of the fight poster on Twitter and wrote: “This was originally planned but the big Dady of combat sport today @danawhite make @floydmayweather hide for a lil bit. 3 of us knew what happened but to be honest I’m glad to see @danawhite with @floydmayweather finally got a good promoter to promote his fights”. Mayweather is seemingly interested in a showdown with Nurmagomedov, who is undefeated in 28 MMA contests. Last year the five-weight world champion posted on Twitter: “CBS, Showtime and MGM Grand get the checkbook out! Go to @leonardellerbe‘s page to view Khabib Nurmagomedov challenging me. #CBS#SHOWTIME #MGMGRAND#MayweatherPromotions”. Khabib had previously taunted Mayweather, insisting: “I am the king because he cannot drop McGregor but I drop him easily. Let’s go.”Tags: ChristmasConor McGregorFloyd MayweatherRolls Roycelast_img
