As is the new normal for us, we played 10 kids in the rotation, ended up playing all 12. Our press was solid early, but wasn’t great the entire game. We are still learning the rotations, it’s a different look than what my guys are used too, but they are getting better at it. It’s one of those things that we will continue to play out the season doing and carry over into our summer program. I know it will be better as we get comfortable. It’s always tough to play a team at home on senior night. Always a lot of emotion involved. Burden came out on a high and played hard, but Grant Smith got on a roll early, couple of steals and finishes at the rim swung the emotion and momentum to us. We were able to take control early. Camren Clements shot the ball well, and we did a nice job of sharing the ball, we had a lot of kids score last night. Now our regular season is over. We are 8-12 right now. Looks like we will be the #6 seed in a very tough sub-state at Sedan that features #1 seed undefeated Sedan, #2 seed West Elk, and #4 seed Pitt Colgan. We will play Uniontown, who is the #3 seed out of the Three Rivers League. Looking at them on film, they are very thick, strong, athletic team, that pressures the ball, they run their 4 out 1 in motion very well, and are just well coached. It is going to be a handful of a game, but one thing I do know, is we will compete and play hard for 32 minutes. Our kids have been that way all year, we’ve lost some close games (6 games by 7 pts or less), we are almost there. I’ve been very happy with how this young team has developed and matured this year. Follow us on Twitter. OXFORD: Norris 6, Cook 6, Talbert 3, B. Metz 6, Gaither 2, K. Metz 5.last_img
