HURLING: DONEGAL MINORS HAVE GREAT WIN OVER DOWN

first_imgDonegal Minor Hurlers had a great win over Down yesterday in Division 1 of the Ulster Minor Hurling League.Played in perfect conditions in Downpatrick, the Donegal lads were slow out of the blocks, due in no small part to the long bus trip, they slowly got into their stride and led at half time 0.7 to 0.2.The second half was one way traffic, as this very talented Donegal team showed what they were capable off. Nine clubs are represented on this panel and they’re really beginning to gel this season.Tom Clare and his assistant Paddy Lennon were very happy with the second half as the lads ran out convincing winners 1.15 to 0.7.The lads face another difficult game next Saturday away to Antrim, with more belief in themselves and a full hour’s hurling, hopefully they will get another win.Scorers Sam Doherty 1.4, Tom Clare 0.3, Aaron Mc Cauley 0.3, Conor O’Grady 0.1, Oisin Rooney 0.1, Cathal Doherty 0.1, Kieran Kelly 0.1 and Macauley Carr 0.1.  HURLING: DONEGAL MINORS HAVE GREAT WIN OVER DOWN was last modified: March 22nd, 2015 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:donegalDownHURLINGlast_img
