But, the school needs more funding for scholarships and that’s why it’s calling on you to help with their Day of Giving.Wednesday is the school’s second annual day of giving, but this time the school is partnering with Chick-Fil-A. Students and faculty gathered at the Chick-Fil-A Galleria in Beckley, refilling customers’ beverages and cleaning off their trays. Some customers were giving five and ten dollar donations to the school. We’re told if WVU Tech raises ten thousand dollars throughout the day- L & S Toyota owner Shawn Ball will donate fifty thousand dollars to the fund.“This is important to us because many of our students have a financial need when they come to school,” Director of University Relations Jen Wood Cunningham said. “So this is a really great way to give back to the community and to help our students get there education.”You can donate on the school’s website at wvutech.edu until 11:59 Tuesday night.
