OCHO RIOS:Jewels Runaway Bay will be seeking a semi-final spot in the Sandals St Ann/St Mary Business House football competition when they tackle Noranda Bauxite at 4 p.m. at Drax Hall today.In the feature match of the double-header at 6 p.m., defending champions Couples Tower Isle, who have already qualified for the semi-finals, clash with Moon Palace.The competition is at an interesting stage, with Jewels sitting in third place in Zone B on 10 points, behind both National Water Commission (NWC) and Gran BahÌa PrÌncipe, who are on 12 points. Both have completed their fixtures. Interestingly, both NWC and Gran BahÌa are level on not just points, but goal difference as well, having scored 16 goals and conceded nine.Couples Tower Isle (10) and sister property Couples Sans Souci (10) are the two early qualifiers from Zone A. They are followed by RIU Ocho Rios (eight), Beaches Ocho Rios (six), Moon Palace (two), and Sandals Ochi Beach Resort (two).The defending champions have looked the dominant team in the competition so far, racking up 12 goals, with just three against, while Couples Sans Souci have scored nine goals, with four against.In Zone B are Stush In The Bush Enterprize (10); B & H Holdings (9). Noranda Bauxite (six) and Bankers United (0) are the other competitors.According to Danny Beckford, president of the St Ann Business House Football Association, the competition has been an exciting one so far, with a high standard of play exhibited by several of the teams.”We are getting down to the business end of the competition, and the spectators have been treated to some great action, and we can’t wait for the semi-finals to begin,” Beckford said.

Chelsea are adamant they will not be selling Diego Costa back to his former club Atletico Madrid this summer.The LaLiga club have been heavily linked with a £48million offer for the Spanish forward, who suffered a tough 2015-16 campaign at Stamford Bridge following a number of disciplinary run-ins with the FA.It has been suggested that Costa is keen on a return to his former club and a reunion with Atleti manager Diego Simeone.However, according to Marca, even a £48m bid is unlikely to tempt Chelsea into selling, with Costa thought to be at the forefront of new manager Antonio Conte’s plans.Atleti have apparently made contact with Chelsea with an opening offer but the Stamford Bridge club haven’t bothered to return with an answer as they are adamant he player will remain in west London.
